Stir Fried Shrimp, Green Beans, & Bacon

  • 1 lb medium raw Shrimp
  • 6 slices Wright Applewood Smoked Bacon, broiled and cut into small pieces
  • 1 1/2 lb fresh Green Beans, hard ends cut off
  • Oevoo (Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
  • 1/3 c Tap Water
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • 1 large Garlic Clove, minced
  • Ground Paprika
  • Dried Basil
  • Onion Powder
  • Red Pepper Flakes
  • White Sesame Seeds
  • Few Green Onion stalks, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c uncooked Long Grain Brown Rice
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce

Directions-

  1. Boil the rice for 30 minutes. Rinse, drain and mix with 1 tbsp melted butter.
  2. Thoroughly rinse the green beans. In a large saucepan over medium heat, add a dash of olive oil and water (about 1/3 c of water). Once the oil and water gets hot, add the green beans, a dash of salt, pepper and half of the minced garlic. Sauté for 12 minutes. Transfer the green beans to a plate.
  3. Peel and devein the shrimp. Add the shrimp to the same pan and season with a dash of salt, pepper, ground paprika, onion powder, dried basil, red pepper flakes and the rest of the minced garlic. Sauté for 7 minutes over medium heat.
  4. Stir the green beans into the pan with the shrimp and then remove from heat. Stir in the bacon pieces.
